Darkroom Magic with Première Impression
Coming back for their second year, the Montréal-based artist group, Première Impression, is bringing the darkroom magic back to Lake City Arts Fest this year! Be sure to stop by the Strand Center for the Arts’ front lawn to be part of the magic with activities including direct-positive portraits and learning about photography techniques!

Oil Painting with Elsa Koop-Angelicola
The Strand’s Gallery Manager & Associate Curator, Elsa, will be working on an original oil painting when she’s not running around the yard managing the event! Last year, she painted a volcano, what will she be working on this year?! Find her under the Christmas tree where she was last year and say hi!

Studio Tours with Noah
Our Art Studio & MakerSpace Coordinator, Noah Bonesteel, will be avaible to give tours of our fantastic and ever growing studio spaces in our Arts Center! Come see where all the magic happens for our classes, camps, studio members, and sometimes even meetings! The studio spaces include: Visual Arts Studio, Makerspace, Music Studio, Stained Glass Studio, Printmaking and Clay Studios!

Plein Air kits
Community Engagement Manager, Sommerleigh, and Teaching Artist, Kilian, will be offering Plein air kits during Lake City Arts Fest for people to experiment with! Learn how to capture the moment in the moment with your own kit! Plein Air is a French term meaning "outdoors” or “in the open air”, where artists are tasked with starting and possibly finishing a piece outside, where you capture directly what in front of you.

The Zine Scene
The Zine Scene will be taking place right in the gallery during Lake City Arts Fest like previous years of the Zine Fest. Come see what all the artists will be showing and creating during the event!

Raku Kiln Firing
This year for Lake City Arts Fest we bringing out our Raku Kiln! Join our Clay Studio Manager Lauren as her and a team demonstrate the firing process as well as the different techniques and methods used to create various patterns, colors, and texture on the ceramic pieces!

Greg Badger will have a menagerie of beautiful acrylic animal and some landscape paintings, prints, cards, and other small items! Greg hopes his paintings will bring as much joy to others as they do to him.

Jess Davis will have a variety of original art, prints, magnets, jewelry, crafts, clothing & housewares all with her original designs! Jess incorporates a lot of nature themes, color, and patterns!

Renee will be back again for Lake City Arts Fest in her usual spot by the sidewalk and she’ll have all of her beautiful, colorful paintings spread across the lawn for all to see, enjoy, and find one that speaks to you!

Dead Realm Archive
Connor Madden will be at Lake City Arts Fest with his original digital collages as well as lots of prints! Connor blends themes of reality, fantasy, and history and aims to encourage people to play with their imagination and have fun exploring our world in the most unique ways.

Hippie Chic
Head over to Cindy’s booth where she will have a colorful and eclectic variety of wood layered pieces, jewelry, garden and plant art accessories, and lots of pieces made with glass!

Kit Katz Art
At this vendor’s booth you’ll find original art, prints, cards, paintings with designs ranging from nature themes, food and special occasions, and of course lots of adorable animals!

On the Road to Tiamat
This vendor will have all things paper and stationary at their booth! Find original art, cards, notepads, shadowboxes, and stickers here! Margaret often uses animal and nature themes throughout her work, some of which are cute, and others humorous!

Birchbark Creations
Visit this vendors tent to find a variety of beautifully crafted birch mirrors, signs, tables and lamps! If you’re looking for a new piece to add to your home especially for the nature and Adirondack lovers out there!

Adirondack Heartworks
Beautiful and intricate ceramic works! This vendor will have a variety of handmade ceramic artwork made right here in the Adirondacks, from jewelry, home decor items, mugs, spoon rests, wall hangings, magnets, planters and more! Each piece is crafted with lots of love waiting to go to their new home!

As You Wish Art & Designs by Dina
A variety of artwork and apparel inspired by the beautiful nature of the Adirondacks! Dina will have an assortment of different paintings done of glass, wood, old records, and more as well as hats and other accessories with her original artwork on it!

This vendor will have a variety of hand burned hats, caps, bags, and journals with lots of different colors and designs to choose from! Add a little more artistic flare and accessorize with these one of a kind pieces!

Elizabeth Marques Art
Miss Elizabeth has experimented with various different subject matter in her paintings and this year for Lake City Arts Fest she’ll be presenting more of her abstract work! Starting more of her art journey in her retirement has given Elizabeth the opportunity to expand herself as an artist and participate in gallery exhibitions and other artisan events.
Kids Zone

It wouldn’t be an arts event if there wasn’t a special place for the kids to get creative! We will have a “Color It Market” as part of the zone where kids will have the opportunity to do their own “shopping” with blank flowers, bakery goods, and toys that they can color and make their own!
Here’s how it works:
- Each participate receives 6 “Strand dollars” $$$
- Shop for items from the “market” (each item costs 1 Strand dollar)
- Cash out at the register
- Proceed to the coloring area and create!
